# Use AI Vids with your AI

> Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to AI Vids through Geenius OS: it starts videos, edits clips, queues the making and reads the result. A page makes them.

AI Vids has no AI you must use, and today its default clips come from simulated Previews. Your own AI, Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, can start videos, edit their clips, queue the making and read the result through Geenius OS. **A page makes the clips**: a queued video is made when somebody has AI Vids open.

> [!HONEST]
> The Preview models paint simulated clips in a browser; they are not video models. Real video models (Veo and Kling) are connected in code and ready only where their keys are set. Making videos is on Premium and Max; Pro is the library. The door is on every plan, and during early access people request access.

## Connect it

Add AI Vids to your Geenius OS workspace and connect your AI to Geenius OS once, by the steps in the Geenius OS docs. Your AI then has a tool called `video` of `geenius_geeniusvids`.

## How a call looks

```json title="See what can make video here"
{ "tool": "video", "action": "providers", "args": {} }
```

## Your first ask

```text title="A first ask"
Use Geenius OS and AI Vids. Check which video models are ready. Then start a 12 second video of "a paper boat on a canal at dawn" with the Preview, tell me what making it costs, and tell me to open AI Vids so it gets made.
```

## The tool

::mcp-tools

Ask for the actions with `action: "help"`, and for one action with `of`.

## Habits that work

- **Ask for providers first.** `providers` says what is ready.
- **Draft, then make.** `create` makes a draft; `make` queues it and answers the cost.
- **Edit clips, not the whole video.** `update_clip` changes one clip; only that clip is remade.

## What your AI cannot do

It cannot make a clip without an open page, and it cannot make one on Pro. It does not promise a result: the Preview is a simulation.
