# The clip chain

Each clip starts on the last frame of the clip before it, so the video has no visible seam, and the clips are stitched into one file. A **cut** starts a clip fresh instead. You can end a clip on a picture where the model allows it. Preview and Long take differ: Preview takes end pictures; Long take does not.
