# video

> Reference for the video tool of AI Vids: create, make, list, get, clips, fill, delete, pictures, usage and providers, with every action.

Source: https://aivids.geenius-os.tech/docs/reference/video/

Video from words, clip by clip: each clip starts on the last frame of the one before. A video is a draft until you call make. The clips are made by an open page, so a queued video is made as soon as somebody in the workspace has AI Vids open.

Call it as `geenius_geeniusvids(tool: "video", action: "<action>", args: {...})` through Geenius OS.

## Actions

| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| `create` | Starts a video: one clip, or a chain of clips that fill a length. A draft until make. Needs Premium or Max. A prompt, an aspect ratio, a provider (default the Preview), seconds for the whole video or clip seconds for one clip, and optionally a start picture. |
| `make` | Queues a video: every clip that is not in step is made in order, then the clips are stitched into one file. Answers the credits it costs and the app address. |
| `list` | The latest videos with their state (draft, queued, making, ready or changed), clips and seconds. |
| `get` | One video with every clip (prompt, seconds, state, file addresses) and its export. |
| `add_clip` | Adds a clip after another, or at the end. |
| `update_clip` | Changes a clip: its words, length, the picture it starts or ends on, or makes it a cut. A made clip that changes is remade by the next make. |
| `remake_clip` | Asks for a new take of one clip with a new seed. |
| `fill_to` | Makes the video this long by adding clips of the model's longest take at the end. |
| `delete` | Deletes a video, its clips and files for good; confirm with the exact title or the id. |
| `pictures` | The workspace's pictures a clip can start or end on. |
| `usage` | AI credits used this month against the plan, and the seconds made. |
| `providers` | The video models, what each can do and whether it is ready here. |

> [!TIP]
> Ask for the exact arguments of any action with `action: "help", of: "create"`. The server answers from its own definitions, so that answer is always current.

> [!NOTE]
> Making videos is the AI feature: Premium and Max only.
